“It is parents who are entrusted with the care and development of our Heavenly Father’s children. Our families are an integral part of His work and glory…"
“Parents must bring light and truth into their homes by one family prayer, one scripture study session, one family home evening, one book read aloud, one song, and one family meal at a time…The influence of righteous, conscientious, persistent, daily parenting is among the most powerful and sustaining forces for good in the world…
“Teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in the home adds another layer of insulation to protect our children from worldly influences.” L. Tom Perry, Ensign, April 2010
3 Nephi 18:21; Pray in your families unto the Father, always in my name, that your wives and children may be blessed.
“Mortality made it possible for us to be endowed with the powers of procreation…this pledge of participating in the organizing or creative process of God was barred from us until we had scaled the heights of eons of loyal obedience in our ante-mortal state; first as intelligences and then as spirits. Only at this late stage of our development when we have become potential candidates for a place in the councils of the Gods are we permitted to partake of these powers… The fact that parenthood upon this earth is but a training period for parenthood in the eternities.” Cleon Skousen, The First 2000 Years
