War in Heaven
Bible Dictionary; The war in Heaven was primarily over how and what manner the plan of salvation would be administered, the issues involved agency, how to gain salvation and who would/should be the redeemer. We knew that with God’s plan that some would fall short of receiving salvation. Satan’s plan was to have salvation automatically granted to everyone who passed through mortality without regard to individual preference, agency or voluntary dedication. He stood in absolute rebellion against our Father’s plan in order to gain complete power and glory unto himself. The nature of the conflict prohibited any neutrals, however different parts were more valiant then others.
Revelations 12: 4,7,8,9; Michael and his angels fought against Satan and his angels. Satan lost and he and one third part (all angels that fought with him) were cast down to earth.
Jude 1:6; Angels that kept not their first estate left heaven and are in chains and darkness until judgment day.
Isaiah 14:12-15; Lucifer, fallen from heaven had been a son of the morning, he wanted to exhalt his throne above “the stars of God.” He wanted the glory for himself. He shall be brought down to hell.
Moses 4:1-4; Satan wanted to redeem all mankind that not one soul should be lost and sought the honor and power of God. His plan was to destroy the agency of man and the power of Christ and the atonement, because of this he was cast down becoming Satan, the father of all lies to blind and captivate man.

He with Christ said, we will go down and make an earth and prove them (us) herewith to see if they do all that is commanded of them. God sent the first, choosing Christ causing Satan to anger and loose his first estate.
